Lessening our impact on the world while encouraging others to do the same was the impetus behind the environmental principles that guide Spirit of the North Magazine.
We Recycle
For starters, this magazine is printed on 50 per cent recycled paper. The inks used are vegetable-based and water soluble and are not harmful to the environment.
We print every copy of our magazine with Mitchell Press, one of the most environmentally-friendly companies in the business. Never compromising quality, it’s printed on post-consumer recycled paper, using vegetable inks. Mitchell Press is a member of the Forest Stewardship Council, who strictly monitor their practices.
We Give Back
Also, every dollar of subscription sales will go to a non-profit organization of our reader’s choice. Every year, four charities will be chosen from a list by our readers. Those four will split the profits evenly. Four new groups will be chosen every year.
