Happy 100th Anniversary BC Parks!
Spirit of the North congratulates BC Parks on celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year!
BC Parks will kick off their festivities on March 1, 2011 which marks the 100th Anniversary of the birth of the first provincial park in the province which was Strathcona Provincial Park situated on Vancouver Island.
BC Parks announced that they are working with "communities, First Nations, youth and sector areas such as arts, heritage and tourism" to create and host a variety of celebrations and events throughout the province.
